We are a neighborhood grassroots organization that has formed to collectively take a stance against a proposed 6 million chicken egg factory to be built in our community; a community which is already permitted for 3 million chickens. The proposed site for this facility is 22450 Davis Rd, 4 miles north of Raymond and 3 miles east of West Mansfield.
We are local citizens who are concerned about the further negative impact that this facility will bring to our health, ground water, streams, air, soil, property values and roads.
We are committed to stopping the building of this egg factory by peacefully and mindfully demonstrating we do not want Hi-Q Egg Products in Union County. We are actively contacting our local and state government officials, government agencies, Ohio media, and we are joining other organizations that will help us reach our goal.
Join us by taking a stand! Attend community meetings; educate yourself and your neighbors about the far reaching impact this could have on all of Union County. If this facility is permitted, it will be the largest single site egg farm in the nation!
We are meeting on Mondays between 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the York Township Hall. Come any time and see the blue prints and permit application. See for yourself!
